The past three months have been filled with growth, grit, and unforgettable moments. From hard-fought wins to heartbreaking losses, and the bonds built between teammates, this season had it all. Now that the season has come to a close, it’s time to reflect on the challenges, highlights, and spirit of the 2025 volleyball players.
While the upperclassmen are familiar with the rhythm of volleyball season, the incoming freshmen are just getting settled into the program. The weeks are busy and often stressful, but Ana Gigitashvili, a junior, has learned how to manage it all.
“It was very difficult to keep up my freshman year, but from then on it became easier. I usually always use my free time to do any schoolwork I have, whether it is homework or studying,” Gigitashvili said.
The volleyball season can feel overwhelming at first, especially for newcomers juggling both school and sports. But the friendships built along the way make it all worth it. The bonds formed during freshman year are often the ones that last throughout a player’s entire high school career.
“Playing with old and new teammates helped this season become more fun. Practice was fun every day with all my new friends. It also was nice to meet new people who have the same personality as me,” said freshman Gabriella Wells.
As the season went on, the players didn’t just get better at volleyball they grew in confidence, communication, and resilience. The team started as a group of individuals, some of whom had never played together before. But over time, they learned to work as one. Each practice was filled with effort and the desire to improve.
“I think the main thing I’ve improved on during this season is definitely my serve. My team helped me improve this skill by being very supportive and teaching me the basic foundations,” said sophomore Halli Buckley.
When the final whistle blew at the last game, the team walked off the court with their heads held high, proud of how far they had come. From after-school practices full of fun and determination to intense matches that tested their limits, each player grew not just in skill, but in character.
Though the 2025 season has come to an end, the bonds formed, lessons learned, and memories made will stay with these players for years to come. This season wasn’t just about wins and losses it was about growth, resilience, and the love for the game.
