With the closest game on the Bulldogs’ schedule, the Dogs knew what they were in for. Burke boys basketball edged out Omaha South 63–59 in a thriller, using strong defense and perfect shots to pull away in the final moments of the game.
The close matchup tested the Dogs’ confidence every single quarter, forcing the team to stay locked in as Omaha South continued to fight until the final buzzer. With clutch shots from Ke’vaun Roper and Jay Parks, the Dogs put themselves in the perfect position to win the game.
“I feel like as a team we could’ve played better, but it was a good win for us,” Parks said. “My teammates played good, and with clutch shots from me and Ke’vaun, I knew we would win that.”
When the final buzzer finally sounded, the gym erupted as Burke secured the win, and the players ran into the student section that had been buzzing all night long. Junior Landon Foster was hyped.
“Winning a close game like that is a great feeling, especially with our student section there too,” Foster said. “I just wanted to hype them up.”
If you want it even closer to your original wording or more polished for publication, I can tweak it one more time without changing the vibe.
