In this episode, Gabby and Morgan discuss H.H. Holmes and the Murder Castle. H.H. Holmes’ “Murder Castle” was a three-story mixed-use building in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, constructed in the late 19th century and rumored to be designed for murder. While legendary accounts describe a maze of soundproof rooms, trapdoors, and gas lines used to kill victims during the 1893 World’s Fair, historical evidence suggests the structure was primarily a site for fraud, with many tales being exaggerated or myth.
