Out of everyone in an entire high school, Brady Makhmudov, a sophomore, got selected by a worker, and/ or peer, for standing out to them and showing positivity. The student at Burke high school succeeds academically while still doing things he is passionate about in his free time and remains an uplifting person to others.
Makhmudov likes Burke High School. He likes that there is a variety of different people and enjoys hanging out with friends. He mentioned that everyone he’s interacted with has been kind towards him. He thinks that most of the teachers are really helpful and overall nice. He enjoys the classes he is in. Burke High is a community that has brought positivity towards him.
“Burke is a pretty fun school. There are different people around here, which I like because everyone is different, and it’s fun to get to know them. Everyone is pretty nice too. My favorite part of going to school is hanging out with my friends, whom I’ve met because of Burke, so I’m appreciative of that. They have cool activities here, like the clubs and just the opportunities that the school provides us. Yeah, overall it’s a good school for me with good people and good opportunities.” Makhmudov said.
He shows up with a good attitude and remembers that some of the classes he has he enjoys. The classes he looks forward to going to boost his mood and give him some encouragement to get through the day. His favorite class is human geography history because he genuinely enjoys history. He likes to learn about past things in the world; it’s interesting to him. When he has homework for that class, he finds it more fun than as a task. Mrs. McNair teaches that class, and that is his favourite teacher because he said she teaches well and is nice to him.
“My favorite teacher is my honors geometry teacher, Mrs. McNair, because she teaches well and is really understanding. I feel like it’s enjoyable to learn in her class even though I don’t like math. And my overall favourite class is my human geography history class with Mrs. McNair. I like the concept of history; I just really enjoy it. It’s interesting for me to learn about, and I just like learning about countries and how other people are and how the world evolved.” Makhudov said.
Brady is a very good student. He cares a lot about people. He is very respectful and tries his hardest. I have him in our Spanish class, and I admire how smart he is. He always gets every answer right in our class and speaks in good grammar. He is overall quiet but will answer the questions in Spanish without difficulty. I was partners with him once, and he was nice and helped me out a little.
