With graduation only a month away, it’s finally starting to click for seniors that this is it.
It’s time to reflect on their 4 years in high school, holding onto memories while preparing for what comes next. Adulthood is a challenging process that takes time to manage, but walking the stage at graduation is a significant step in the right direction.
These 2007 and 2008 babies are cherishing the memories they made this last year, forever remembering the time they spent with their friends, just like senior Dillon Birge an avid football fan
“My favorite memory from senior year is watching the football games with my friends and trying to have the most fun I can for my senior year,” Birge said. “I know once I become an adult, I won’t get this opportunity every day.”
As many seniors prepare for life beyond high school, others are still trying to process what is happening. Is it really the end? And senior Ephram Lafar is going through this same process now.
“It’s really weird being a senior, graduation is a month away, and it doesn’t even feel real,” Lafar said. “I mean, I’m only 17, and I know I still have a little bit more time until I’m an adult, but it’s just weird, yesterday I was a kid.”
While some seniors are happy that they went the extra mile this year, challenging themselves with difficult tasks. while also being proud of how they treated their very own school that built them up.
“I’m happy with how my senior year went,” senior Brayden Pickett said. “I challenged myself and put in a lot of work into this school. Burke will always hold a special place in my heart.”
