The Kansas City Chiefs are the best team in the NFL at this moment. They have a good defense and some wow dropping offense, too. They are 5-0 because of their teamwork and smart plays. Now holding the No. 1 place in the AFC West.

I think it must be the Chiefs because I feel each of their players has a great connection with Patrick Mahomes. The teamwork between Travis Kelce and Mahomes allows them to make the incredible plays that look so simply. One recent game, they ran a pitch back that led the Chiefs to first down yardage by Travis and Samaje Perine, against the New Orleans.

This was a fitting example of their teamwork and accurately predicting where each other will go. But the Chiefs were 11-6 in 2023, with many defensive problems up and down offense. Every season has twisted moments of growth and success as well as others that push other teams to their limits. Fresh players are making their way to the NFL and, as a result struggling through roster changes that tend to disrupt an already good relationship.

Naturally, the Chiefs struggled to adapt after losing a known name.

One of the best receivers in Chiefs history, Tyreek Hill had gained a solid relationship with Travis and Patrick before being traded to Miami Dolphins in 2022. It was a change for the franchise, as he would say after his release later “The Dolphins are a better team than the Chiefs.”

Everyone loves their team and opinions will differ, but I am sticking with the Chiefs as the best in football because of how they play together and make plays.
