Have you heard about the Roblox ban? Do you know what the ‘big controversy’ surrounding Roblox is? Well, it is a lot so let’s talk about it. At first, Roblox was known as an app where kids could play games with their friends, but now it is known as an app whose creators are guilty of protecting predators.
“Roblox appears to be in a spot of trouble, as the online game platform attempts to battle growing controversies over child safety and its imposition of ban on ‘vigilante’ users. This has led to fears that Roblox might get banned.” Hindustan Times articles said.
Early years on Roblox were fun, especially since people thought it was weird to date others on that app, as it was a simple children’s game, and knew that it was rated 12+ on the App Store for a reason. Early years on Roblox were a lot more kid friendly unlike they are now, for example, some of the earliest games I remember are “Meep City,” and “Adopt Me,” and at one point these two games were probably the most popular games on Roblox and it was mainly played by children because it’s a CHILDREN’S app.
So, why did the people behind Roblox ban Schlep? Schlep was catching predators that were on the app using the seemingly innocent kid’s games to lure them out. Can you understand how that looks, as if predators are being protected on Roblox. The creators banned someone who was exposing adults for praying on children, but the pedophile can get away with it? Does not look good at all.
“Schlep, known for exposing child predators through Roblox and assisting in the arrest of six individuals targeting users, had his account permanently banned.” Misbar article said.
Plenty of countries have already banned Roblox, and it’s kind of surprising that the U.S. hasn’t yet, but, if you really think about it, it isn’t surprising that the U.S. hasn’t banned
Roblox because so many teenagers and children love playing it! I mean, so many people play it and love it, so do I, but if they are not actually doing anything to stop the predators on this kids’ app, then what will they do about the victims? Another problem, they can ban Roblox, but it is not like they can get the game permanently deleted, they must go to the people who created Roblox, and they obviously do not want to get rid of their game or their money.

Do I think Roblox should be banned? No, I like Roblox, I love playing Roblox with my friends, but I do think instead of making themselves look worse, they should go back to what they were like before the app blew up and not tolerate any online dating. They also need to have better protection for kids on the app considering that it is literally 12+ on the App Store, which I think is diabolical. Everyone has their own opinions on this topic, but everyone also just wants Roblox to be better than what it is now and that speaks volumes, but it seems like Roblox has their volume down.
