Does the presidents threat against clean energy matter? It does matter; in fact, it affects us all. The stance a president takes on clean energy can significantly impact the world. A president can redirect federal funding earmarked for clean energy projects. Changes in clean energy can affect the environment, by changing greenhouse gas emissions, and affecting air quality. The recent changes to federal policy in 2025 will suggests that reduced clean energy will lead to a negative affect on the environment.
The New York Times website stated that the current president of the United States said that “Green energy is a scam and climate science is from stupid people.” He also said that the United States won’t approve wind or solar power projects which is causing the renewable companies to fear that projects will no longer receive permits.
“The presidents’ threat against clean energy does matter because the earth itself matters. We should take care of the planet we are living on. We breathe the air we need to live from this planet. So, I mean yeah it does affect us.” Tyndall said.
I personally believe we should be prioritizing the planet more. Not only do we live on this planet, but animals and plants do too. Approximately 80-89% of Americans eat meat, according to studies from 2021 and 2025. Climate change is affecting animals worldwide by destroying habitats, and more. Climate change affects the planet by forcing plants and animals to migrate or face extinction, rises temperatures, and changes sea levels. If climate change worsens and the planet becomes dirtier, from pollution, we can expect more extreme weather.
“I think the presidents’ threat on clean energy does matter because not only is it affecting like the earth, but also jobs.” Dieguez said.
Threats from the United States president matters for the clean energy sector. It will cause economic instability, and will cause consequences for the job growth, investment, climate goals, and also electricity costs. Not caring for clean energy will affect fossil fuels, leading to increased air pollution which can cause a large number of deaths related to health problems.
“Doing anything, whether it’s negative or positive, it will cause an affect. To answer your question, yes, the presidents’ threat on clean energy does matter and will affect the environment. I think it would be stupid to negatively affect the planet because it literally affects you as a person.” Wells said.
The presidents’ threat against clean energy does matter. Negatively affecting the planet will affect climate change, health issues, animals, plants, water, weather, and humans. Think of something you might like to do; go to the gym, go on your phone, getting fast food, driving around. None of that will matter if the world gets to the point where we can’t leave our house due to breathing issues, or health problems because of the air quality. The environment matters.
