Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by ICE agents on January 7, 2026, only two weeks after Alex Pretti followed with a similar death.
ICE raids have been spreading across the US bringing chaos and death across the nation.
“I am out here because what ICE is doing. Basically what is happening is our government is funding a domestic terrorism group, and they are killing innocent people,” an Anonymous informant said. “They are racially profiling people who are born in this country, they say that they are here to get out the worst of the worst absolute criminals.
”
According to official writings by Homeland Security, at least 3,000 people have been arrested by ICE during these operations as of January 19th, 2026.
Both tragic deaths have sparked intense protests, not only in Minneapolis but all over the US. Following these intense protests as of January 30th in Minnesota there has been a blackout strike demanding the removal of ICE in the state, and businesses have closed. This strike calls for people to stop attending work, school, and to stop shopping in general.
Not only is this strike protesting ICE but also going against Donald Trump, his administration, and how he has set up the immigration enforcement as well as how far he has let these dangerous raids go.
“My friend from elementary school, I love her so dearly, both of her parents actually got deported. She’s my age, but I couldn’t imagine my mom not being there when I come home because someone took her and kidnapped her,”Anonymous informant 2 said. “My friend is definitely in my thoughts every single day, sometimes I am also scared just because, I might be black, but my mom isn’t and it is scary being out here knowing there are these ICE agents out in the streets especially in my neighborhood and its terrifying.”
More ICE agents have been seen throughout the US, according to writings by homeland security, a Recruitment Campaign, led to over 12,000 new agents hired.
According to ProPublica the two ICE agents responsible for shooting Alex Pretti is, Jesus Ochoa, 43, and Raymundo Gutierrez, 35, more information about these two individuals is yet to come out.
The video that has surfaced of Alex Pretti’s death shows him being pulled away from helping a woman, disarmed, pushed down to his knees, before he was shot by an ice agent.
“I believe to make an actual change everybody has to stop saying it’s not going to make a difference because if we all say it’s not going to make a difference then there will be no difference,” said Zayne Prusia.
