“Originally I didn’t know about the second season, when I was watching the first season I was a weird kid I didn’t use the internet like that. I wasn’t too disappointed about the second season getting canceled because I didn’t know about it, but when the movie got announced im pretty sure the movie was an ongoing thing and it was one of those things every year they were like here’s the new date. I remember seeing it later in 8th grade, a newer trailer of it and I was like oh my gosh, this might be real and I sent it to my friend that had introduced it to me and then the next week I get an article the Yuri on ice movie is not happening. I was genuinely distraught, I thought they were going to do the same thing with Skate because it’s the same company. I was really upset because the Yuri on ice movie would’ve been really great especially since it would’ve been out when I was in high school and I watched it in middle school, big difference, big step but I’m still into it, but I was overall still disappointed to this day about it,” Jonae Davis said.
