Caban’s Snicker-Rolls

Caban Willms, Editor

These cookies were just an idea I had in my Foods class. They’re a nice treat with a cute twist. They’re not special, but I think they are an excellent treat for the holidays because they are sweet treat, and the soft dough can make a lot of shapes if you want them. Plus, they won a competition, so they have to be good if done right.

What you need is…

½ cup of softened butter

½ cup of shortening

1 ½ cup of white sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

2 ¾ of all purpose

2 ¼ teaspoons of cream tartar

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1/3 teaspoon of salt

Then you mix it slowly in a mixer until it is semi hard and smooth. Then add…

2 tablespoons of white sugar

And the last ingredient is 2 ¼ cinnamon

Then proceed to mix all of that slowly until fully mixed

Then plop the dough on a proper sized sheet of wax paper. Then flatten the dough as much as possible. Then from the top to the bottom cut thin strips of the dough, then roll it up in the shape of a swirly thing.

Then heat the oven to 400 degrees. Then you place the rolls in to the oven then bake for 8-10 minutes. When desired result is achieved pull them out, and let them cool for 2 minutes
