Anticipated Prada 2 to bring fashion back en vouge

On June 30, 2006, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ was released. A simple movie following a fashion magazine company ended up significantly impacting fashion in the real world.

This roaring hit movie grossed over $326 million worldwide and was nominated for two Oscars.

For many years after, fans kept asking for a sequel to what they consider an iconic movie.

Nearly two decades after ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ captivated audiences, a sequel is officially in the works.

Director David Frankel confirms there are many familiar faces coming back for this highly anticipated movie. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt are all confirmed to reprise their previous roles.

This sequel is set to follow Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) as she is struggling to keep Runway magazine relevant in this new age, when she realizes her former assistant is now working with advertising revenue she desperately needs.

This highly anticipated follow-up promises to bring viewers back into the fast-paced world of high fashion.

Fans all around have already set a list of things they want to see in this upcoming new movie.

Many people have stated that they want to see how Miranda will navigate the new journalism world as there has been a decline in print journalism since the film came out in 2006.

People have also expressed that they want to see a calmer, maybe even nicer, Emily Charton. In the 2006 film, she came off as a bit of a nightmare. She had a deep hatred of Andy because she was breathing the same air as her. Fans are excited to see if she changes at all.

The other major thing people want to see change is the cruelty towards women’s bodies. Andy Sachs was constantly receiving comments on her body throughout the movie. She was referred to as “fat” several times and made to feel bad for whatever she ate.

While this movie was and is still a favorite amongst many people, they still are hoping for these slight changes in the sequel.

With any sequel comes many challenges. While there are lots of people excited, there are also people who aren’t excited.

Those who aren’t excited feel that there is no reason for a sequel. They feel the first movie had a great ending in itself, and the story doesn’t need to continue any further.

Fans have many feelings for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ ranging from excitement to disappointment and many fan speculations of what’s going to happen.

Tune in on May 1, 2026, at a theater near you to see this much awaited sequel to the conic fashion move ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.

In the word of Miranda Priestly, “that’s all.”
