Kayden Cotten is a Burke high school senior who many know by his bright personality. Kayden takes part in the schools drama club, he is a Burke newspaper editor, and so much more.
“My favorite class has been drama. The community we have is very small, but everyone knows each other. And everyone works together very, very well, and it’s just A community and an experience that you’ll never forget.” Kayden Cotten
Obviously we know that high school is not what you see in the movies. High school experiences vary based on area, population, and even economy.
“I pictured it being just like the other three years. For some of it I was right other things that I thought would be similar. I was totally off on, But overall it’s a similar experience. I mean I’ve been here for three years, I kind of know what to expect. I’d say the main difference between my previous 3 years in this year has been my college application process, but that’s really it.”
With senior year rapidly reaching the end some students are feeling mixed emotions on what to do. Graduating and moving on in life is a hard step for many individuals.
“I think I’ll mostly miss my friends, I have my friend group that I talked to all the time. And you know, we’re gonna be friends after high school, but it won’t be the same. We won’t get to see each other every day, But other than that Not really much to miss about high school.”
